I was recently introduced to Southern Ontario country rockers High Court County and their newest EP titled Here We Go Again.

I had a good listen to the EP yesterday and all three tracks are very strong but my personal favourite is Bonfire Friday Night. I probably listened to that song 10 times yesterday.

The intro guitar riff leading to drums then bass is addictive. It didn’t take long to get hooked on the song itself but the tune also evoked memories of my early 20’s, traveling up to a friend’s trailer in Port Severn, ON for summer weekends and yes, bonfire Friday nights, and Saturday nights, were a thing.  Great memories.

I will definitely be adding Bonfire Friday Night to my Victoria Day long weekend playlist and even though a bonfire isn’t possible in my East York backyard, the song will bring back those fond memories, and it sounds great.

Check out High Court County’s Bandcamp page here. If you enjoy any of their songs, join our mailing list to the right and we’ll buy one for you.
